  • Future Shipbuilder Discovery Day

    On April 27th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Maritime Training Academy, there will be a student and parent event to showcase to the next generation of workers the shipbuilding industry and all it has to offer.  This event is for students, parents, and educators from middle and high schools and potential future employees from the surrounding area (25-mile range).  Preview Day will be similar to a college parent/student event.  Preview Day will showcase the following topics.

    • benefits
    • shipyard of the future
    • safety programs
    • apprenticeship programs
    • common crafts
    • "Who we are" videos and literature
    • a day in the life of a shipbuilder
    • interactions with crat management
    • simulations
    • shipyard tour

  • 7th Grade Immunization Records

    Want to beat the long lines at your Dr. Office, Health Dept, and at Keesler?  Make your appointments now for your 6th Grader's Tdap Shot.


    Turn in your 2019-2020 7th Grader's 121 form as soon as you receive it.  They will have to have these on file with VMS before starting the 2019-2020 school year.  This will make 2019-2020 Registration easier and save you the hassle come July!  Once received you can drop off at VMS Office or email to: LREVERSE@JCSD.MS fax to: 228.826.1018.  Please, always follow up with a call the following day to check that your documents were received.

  • FabLab Summer Camps

    Summer Camp Registration is now open.  Summer camps will be held in three locations this year in order to try and better serve the residents of Jackson County.  We are planning 8 camps @ the FABLAB on HWY 57 in Vancleave, 4 camps @ Pascagoula High School, and 4 Camps in Moss Point.  Camps will be $100 per week and will run from 8-2 Monday through Friday ($125 if paid after April 30th).  In addition, FABLAB Jr. Camps for ages 5-8 will be held at the FABLAB on HWY 57 and will be $75 per week and run from 8-11 or 12-3 Monday through Friday ($100 if paid after April 30th).  Space is limited to 20 campers per week (10 for FABLAB Jr.) so do not wait.  Please follow the link below to find out more information.

    Please click the link at the bottom of our VMS homepage or email Mrs. Johnson (bjohnson@jcsd.k12.ms.us) to submit pictures from Vancleave Middle School events and Vancleave Schools sporting events to be reviewed and potentially used for the VMS website.  Thank you for helping us recognize as many students as possible at Vancleave Middle School.
