Jackson County School District Announces Vacancy for Board Member (District 4)
The Jackson County School District is seeking to appoint a dedicated, community-minded leader to represent District 4 on its Board of Trustees at a special called board meeting on Monday, February 23rd at 5:00 pm. This position offers a unique opportunity for a local citizen to shape the future of public education and advocate for the students, families, and educators of Jackson County. The individual appointed will serve as the District 4 representative until the first Monday in January of 2027.
The Role and Responsibility
Serving as a school board member is one of the most challenging yet rewarding roles a citizen can undertake. Board members act as stewards of the community’s vision for its schools, making critical decisions that impact the livelihood of school system employees and the economic well-being of the region.
Eligibility and Requirements
All applicants must meet the following criteria:

Residency: Must be a registered voter and a qualified elector in District 4 within the Jackson County School District.

Education: Must hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
