Study goals and short sessions build concentration
Setting goals for study sessions helps students focus and avoid distraction. At the start of your child's next study session, help your elementary schooler set a goal for what to accomplish in 10 minutes. Set a timer, and when it goes off, check and see if your child has met the goal. Then, set another goal for the next 10 minutes. Brain researchers know that children learn more in two short study sessions than in one long one.
