Take time to enjoy the results of hard work

Some children move from one project to the next without stopping to enjoy the good feeling that comes from a job well done. Help your elementary schooler take pride in the results of efforts. If your child makes a snack, you might say "It's fun to enjoy what you've made, isn't it?" Display your child's art proudly where others can see it. And set an example by letting your child see you stop and enjoy your own successes.
