Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction
Monty Noblitt joined the Jackson County School District after serving the past five years as the Assistant Superintendent of Bay St. Louis-Waveland School District. During Mr. Noblitt’s first academic year at Bay St. Louis-Waveland School District, he helped grow the district from a “C” rating to an “A” rating, whereas the district has maintained an “A” rating throughout his tenure as Assistant Superintendent. While serving the coastal Hancock County community, he also acted as the Athletic Director for four years and principal of Bay-Waveland Middle School during the 2022-2023 school year. He has nine years of combined administrative experience and every school and/or district he has served has experienced academic growth during his tenure.
Mr. Noblitt is a 1989 graduate of Vancleave High School and earned both his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi. Additionally, Mr. Noblitt earned his Juris Doctor from the Mississippi College School of Law. He has been married to Kathryn Smith Noblitt for 23 years and they have three children; Monty (Deuce) age 22, Maddox age 16, and Molly age 13.
Assistant Superintendent of Support
Chris LeBatard comes to us from Ocean Springs School District where he has served as the Director of Child Nutrition for the past two years. Prior to that, he was the principal at Pecan Park Elementary School for nine years. Under his leadership, Pecan Park Elementary successfully increased test scores each year. Mr. LeBatard has experience as a teacher, coach, elementary principal, middle school and high school assistant principal, and transportation director. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and a Specialist in Education Degree. Additionally, he holds a Master of Education degree from William Carey University. Mr. LeBatard is excited about returning home to the Jackson County School District where he began his career in education twenty-three years ago at St. Martin High School.
