We use Choices Planner that helps students learn about themselves with interest inventories, career assessments, and connects their course plans, post-secondary options and career goals.
Using Choices Explorer, all students have created a portfolio in 7th grade. This same portfolio will follow the student through middle school, high school and on into postsecondary education. Choices Explorer (middle school) and Choices Planner (high school) are customized with Mississippi-specific information to guide students on their Pathway to Success and to help them build an Individual Career and Academic Plan (iCAP). All students are required to complete all grade guideways from 7th - 12th grade. The guideways are a simple step-by-step guide to completing the basics. Students are encouraged to visit Choices Planner often to enhance their career exploration and planning. Choices Planner information can also be assessed from home by any student or parent.
Hours: Open every day of school from 7:00 - 3:00. Students and parents are encouraged to take advantage of the many uses of our Career Center!
