The Career Center serves as a source of information that provides current materials to aid in the development of academic and career pathways. The center provides the latest technology as we guide students through educational and career planning. These resources are available for students and parents.

The goal of the Career Center is to help each student achieve their post-secondary goals, whether that includes community college, a four year university, vocational programs or the military.  Students are encouraged to stop in for the latest information on ACT/SAT, College & Career information, Financial Aid, Resume Prep and Scholarships.  The Career Center is located in Room 503.  Information is also provided on the tables outside the door for pickup and go.

All students should keep in mind that if they plan to attend college that there are four sources of money to help pay for college.
1- Money from the state of Mississippi
2- Money from the Federal Government
3- Money directly from the college
    4- Private Scholarship

Juniors... Remember you have one college day per year!

Seniors... Remember you have two excused college preview days!
Please submit Scholarships Before "DUE BY" Date

The Career Center also contains computers with internet connection, career videos and books, Encyclopedia of Careers and Vocational Guidance, ACT practice software as well as ACT information and scholarship information.

We use Choices Planner that helps students learn about themselves with interest inventories, career assessments, and connects their course plans, post-secondary options and career goals.

Using Choices Explorer, all students have created a portfolio in 7th grade. This same portfolio will follow the student through middle school, high school and on into postsecondary education. Choices Explorer (middle school) and Choices Planner (high school) are customized with Mississippi-specific information to guide students on their Pathway to Success and to help them build an Individual Career and Academic Plan (iCAP).  All students are required to complete all grade guideways from 7th - 12th grade. The guideways are a simple step-by-step guide to completing the basics. Students are encouraged to visit Choices Planner often to enhance their career exploration and planning. Choices Planner information can also be assessed from home by any student or parent.

Hours: Open every day of school from 7:00 - 3:00. Students and parents are encouraged to take advantage of the many uses of our Career Center!
